Lost In Translation

I watched Lost In Translation again, last night the first half, and the end this morning. As the movie that i frequently refer to as my favorite film of all time, i realised it had been awhile since i saw it. I was amazed at how many things i had forgotten about the movie. Small moments mostly, which isnt unusual since there arent really any big moments in the film, its all small moments connected to one another.

I also forgot how funny the movie is, and i know why. I always warn people before they see it for the first time that it *isnt* funny. I tell them this since the trailers all used to make it look like a comedy, and then they see Bill Murray and they are expecting "Meatballs" or something. In reality, the movie is very funny, just in subtle ways, and it certainly isnt the focus.

I had also forgotten about this deleted scene with Charlotte and some social robots. I always thought it was another of movie's little magical moments. I wonder why Sophia Coppola cut this moment out?
