7 Year Late Apology Made
So i sent my e-mail making my apology. I sent the e-mail to be proof read by a trusted friend before i sent it, and they seemed to think it was alright. I don't expect any kind of response, i just needed to know that i apologized. Now i don't have anyone who i currently feel i owe an apology. That's a nice feeling.
I haven't slept tonight at all, and i think im going to go right to work and do some overtime. Doesn't that sound like a whole ton o' fun?

Here is the edited e-mail i sent. I havent heard anything back. I dont expect to. Im glad i got the opportunity to say this though...
XXXX-
I know we haven't talked, or had reason to talk, in
about seven years, so ill remind you who i am. This
XXXXX. Former XXXXX co-worker,
ex-boyfriend, and generally confused young adult.
I hope this e-mail finds you well, and truly hope
nothing in this message effects you in a negative way.
I'm sure i am nothing more than a small blip in your
history, and chances this will mean little to you.
That's alright, I'm sending this because it is
important to me.
I always felt like i treated you poorly, and never
really apologized for that. I'm really very sorry for
some of the callous things i did while our lives were
connected. You truly were one of the more special
people i had the privilege of knowing, and i didn't
treat you at all as you deserved to be treated. Please
accept my apology.
I'm overjoyed to see things are going well with you.
From the sounds of things your life has only gotten
better since we last talked. Congrats on getting
married! Must be a wonderful adventure, and I'm sure
your husband is a great man. It really does my heart
good to think of you doing something you have passion
for as well.
Anyways, that's all i wanted to say. You don't need to
respond or anything, i just wanted you to know i was
sorry. You are welcome to respond if you like, but
that isn't the reason i have sent this.
May all your endeavors be successful!
~Patrick
PS. Just so you know, the only reason i have any
information i referred to (including your e-mail
address) is that i googled your name on a lark a bit
ago. It linked me to a XXXX newsletter that
mentioned your husband, job, and e-mail address.
